Kam-Ri Dance Theatre's Artistic Directors are Kerieva McCormick and Ben Harrison (also of Grid Iron Theatre Company) - the company was founded by McCormick in 2014.

Kam-Ri Dance Theatre exists to forge dynamic international creative partnerships at the highest level and to make dance theatre work of the highest quality available to Scottish audiences. Kam-Ri reflects on borders, inter-cultural competence and exchange and attaining the standards of excellence achieved by working on a global level with artists of outstanding quality.

The company's launch project, The Typist, has been in development for two years with backing from Creative Scotland, Dance Base and Edinburgh Mela and a range of partner venues including the Arches in Glasgow and the Traverse in Edinburgh. It is choreographed by Javier Latorre, one of Spain's top flamenco choreographers, features artists as diverse as Alexei Sayle, Pablo Suarez, Olayo Jimenez and Raul Prieto and delivered by a top-flight Scottish creative team including Ben Harrison (Grid Iron) as co-director, Tim Reid on video design, Colin Grenfell on lighting and Ali Maclaurin on set and costume.

Our second, soon-to-be-announced project collaborates with leading musicians from the New York City scene of the last thirty years.
